Tackling Growth Spurts: Weed management in our Precinct

Posted on 12/10/2024

As we move through a season of increased rainfall, The Brickworks precinct has experienced a noticeable growth spurt in our grasses — along with an unfortunate rise in weed growth. In response, the BMA greening team (IDube) has been diligently focusing on managing this rapid growth to keep our precinct looking neat and well-maintained.

Targeted Weed Management and Greening Efforts

This past month, our team has been actively engaged in both manual weeding and targeted spraying across key areas, including embankments, verges, and traffic circles. These efforts are essential to control the proliferation of weeds that thrive in wet conditions, ensuring that our green spaces remain both attractive and functional.

By addressing the increased growth swiftly, we maintain the clean, professional appearance of The Brickworks, reinforcing the high standards we set for our commercial precinct. These proactive measures are crucial in managing the balance between natural growth and maintaining an orderly environment for our members.
