It’s been a steady month of cleaning, greening and maintenance on seasonal priorities, despite the recent rainfall, which accelerated vegetation growth throughout the precinct.
Freeway-Facing Fence Line & Verge Maintenance 100% Complete
This month, the team completed the boundary fence line cutting across the freeway-facing areas of the precinct. The process includes a pre-cut inspection walk to spray herbicides on creepers and invasive plants, followed by the removal of dead plants using brush cutters and hand tools.
Verge maintenance commenced along Brickworks Boulevard, keeping high-visibility areas tidy and ensuring road safety and aesthetics for all members and visitors, and embankment cutting and garden maintenance continued, with weeds removed and hard surfaces sprayed to maintain a neat, professional appearance. This quarter’s embankment work ensures that grass doesn’t become overgrown, reducing fire risk and improving precinct aesthetics.
Proactive Stormwater control
The maintenance team replaced water control bags at the end of the boulevard and cleared stormwater inlets to ensure they remain free of debris for the rainy season.
All-Systems-Go for Fire Suppression System
Both sets of suppression tanks were successfully tested and are fully operational. Repairs to a previously damaged fire line have been completed, with the thrust block now cast and curing complete. The pumps have been reinstated, and the system is fully operational, restoring full fire protection capability across the precinct.
