The last two weeks have seen consistent on-the-ground effort from the Idube team as they carried out essential cleaning, greening, and maintenance work across The Brickworks precinct. These routine but critical tasks ensure the precinct remains not only visually appealing but also structurally functional, especially during periods of seasonal rainfall and regrowth.
Garden and Verge Maintenance
This period’s focus included extensive attention to the precinct’s garden beds, which were weeded and pruned to maintain a clean, tidy appearance. In addition, verge maintenance remained a key priority. Certain verges required filling and levelling, ensuring that these areas remain both accessible and visually consistent across the precinct.

Boulevard Median Improvements
Work was also carried out along the central median of the main boulevard, where topsoil was applied to selected areas. This levelling process helps to even out the surface and improve the health and appearance of grass as it grows back—contributing to the long-term visual quality of this prominent public space.
Stormwater Infrastructure Maintenance
In preparation for continued wet weather, the team also conducted a full clean-up of all manholes and stormwater inlets across the precinct. Clearing these systems of debris is crucial to preventing water build-up, ensuring efficient drainage, and protecting surrounding infrastructure.

Looking Ahead
As seasonal conditions continue to shift, the maintenance team will remain focused on routine greening efforts, road edge upkeep, and stormwater management. These small but important actions help maintain The Brickworks’ reputation as a high-quality, business-ready precinct.
