The past two weeks have seen a productive period of cleaning, greening, and maintenance activity across The Brickworks precinct, with the Idube team making strong headway on several key tasks—helped along by both improved weather conditions and new equipment.
Improved Equipment, Improved Efficiency
A welcome addition to the Idube team’s toolkit has been the arrival of a brand-new brush cutter and blower. These new machines replace older equipment that was increasingly prone to breakdowns, improving the team’s efficiency and allowing them to tackle scheduled tasks more effectively and without delay.
Verge and Fence Line Maintenance
With a break from the rain, the team has been catching up on their grass-cutting schedule. Verge maintenance continued across the precinct, with focused work on the freeway-facing boundary to ensure consistent visual standards. Fence line clearing was also prioritised, with the team attending to overgrowth along boundaries and embankments to keep these areas safe, accessible and neat.
Structure Removal and Clean-Up
During this period, the team also removed what appeared to be an informal street trader’s structure within the precinct. Following the demolition, all surrounding vegetation was cut back to restore order and ensure the area was left clean, open and well-maintained.
Looking Ahead
With weather conditions currently in our favour, the team will continue their momentum, focusing on verge trimming, embankment control and ongoing public realm cleanliness to ensure The Brickworks remains a high-standard, business-ready environment.
