eThekwini Municipality continued to support The Brickworks precinct throughout July with key infrastructure upgrades and maintenance projects aimed at enhancing long-term service delivery and network resilience.
Major Infrastructure Work Underway
Two significant municipal projects were undertaken during the month:
- Aqueduct repair works:
Essential repairs to the aqueduct system resulted in two planned water supply interruptions affecting the precinct. While this caused some temporary disruption, the work is critical in strengthening the reliability and resilience of the broader water network. - Electricity infrastructure upgrades:
Municipal teams carried out trenching works along Brickworks Boulevard as part of ongoing improvements to the precinctβs power supply infrastructure.
Supporting Members Through Planned Disruptions
The BMA remained actively engaged with municipal teams throughout the month, ensuring that members were kept informed of planned works and any associated service interruptions.
This ongoing collaboration between the BMA and eThekwini Municipality plays a key role in maintaining infrastructure standards, while positioning the precinct to support continued growth and operational efficiency.
