April was a busy month in The Brickworks precinct. Safety remains a top priority, and this month saw no security-related incidents recorded across both public and private spaces.
Maintenance Areas Tackled
The Idube landscaping and maintenance team had a productive month, focusing on scheduled seasonal tasks across the precinct, with a strong emphasis on:
- Cleanliness
- Visibility
- Vegetation control
A key focus was verge maintenance along Brickworks Boulevard, with grass cutting and edging completed. Herbicide spraying was also carried out across perimeter fence hard-surface areas, helping to control weeds and prevent overgrowth as seasonal vegetation continues to accelerate.
Street Cleaning & Wayfinding
A notable improvement this month has been the commencement of street cleaning across the precinct, which has already led to cleaner road surfaces and an improved overall presentation.
Road signage corrections and adjustments were also done, and the first phase of the precinct wayfinding signage rollout was completed, with additional installations planned in the coming weeks. This project forms part of the broader effort to improve navigation, visibility and user experience within The Brickworks.
Positive Development Activity
On the construction side, positive progress continues across all active sites within the precinct. Work remained steady this month, with no reported interruptions. Both sets of fire suppression tanks were also successfully tested this month, including a controlled shutdown at the main pump station to repair a valve.
